Just like last year Gary has been keeping a keen eye on local grit
bins to ensure that they are topped up, secured and cleaned up when
tipped over.

Gary said, "During winter I'm always contacted by residents who are
concerned about grit bins as they are a useful resource when the roads
become icy. Unfortunately some people think its funny to tip them over
and so when we see an over-turned grit bin we have gone out, shovel
and broom in hand, and cleaned it up ourselves."
