Bob, Robert and Gareth helped run the Erdington Ward Committee Jubilee Hog Roast in Rookery Park on the Sunday of the Jubilee weekend. The event which was part of the national Big Lunch events in local communities was free to all Erdington residents thanks to Community Chest funding, being granted from the Erdington Ward Committee. Despite the wet weather over a 150 people across the event, still braved the rain to join in the celebrations, including enjoying a hog roast (just as was done in Erdington for Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee over 100 years earlier), steel band, face painters and the local Erdington Arts Forums. A special thanks to the residents who brought along some lovely cake for people to enjoy!
