Over recent months a totally unacceptable amount of litter has built up in the Hart Road Car Park. This was reported on a number of occasions to the Council who failed to clean it. Following pressure a booking for a clean up of the land has now been made by the Council, this has all taken far too long. Cllr Bob Beauchamp said “this has been unacceptable to us. We will be pressing them to get it sorted ASAP.

The vegetation at the back of the car park is a trap that captures the litter and the situation has been worsened by mini cab drivers in the evening using the vegetation as a toilet. Therefore as well as trying to get the area cleaned up we are drawing up plans for the area to be upgraded to stop these problems.

Broken Trip Rails

There are also a number of broken trip rails around the car park and we want to fix them as part of the improvements to the car park.
