On the 12th September construction work began on the new building for North Birmingham Academy.

The work will take until February 2013 to be completed, the old school will be then demolished, and the school will be used from the November.

Local campaigner  Gary Sambrook said, “There has been some problems with the location of the new school but overall the new school will offer fantastic opportunities to local children. When the work is completed, it will be a million miles away from the old school days from when I went there!”
