The Labour run City Council has made a move to try and close the toilets at Erdington Library to save just over £1000. However popular local Councillors Robert Alden, Gareth Moore and Bob Beauchamp have stepped into the fray to prevent this. They have secured funding to cover the costs of running the toilets so that they will remain open. Robert said “we know that these toilets are vital to the local community, library and high street users. For what would have been a tiny saving from a £3 billion pound budget”. Gareth added “Labour just don’t have the right priorities for Erdington”.
