The event was hosted by Witton Lodge Community Association as part of their Natural World Project. As part of the event there was a marquee of stalls from different local organisations such as 'The Friends of Witton Lakes', St Martin's CoE Church and many more. There was also a stall from Persimmon Homes who have put in a planning application to build new houses on the vacant land in Dovedale Road.

Gary Sambrook said, "The event was a great day out for all the family, and was also a useful day for residents to find out what was going on locally. I even won 2nd prize of the raffle!"
